Awakening ‘The Little Fox’ 🦊
One cold crisp morning,
A little fox woke from his bed.
Looking up at the sky eyes open and yawning,
He said in his head,
“what’s happening to the leaves, are they starting to fly?”
Then he quickly remembered,
“oh wait, no I know why,
it’s Autumn time again when the trees wave goodbye.
Colours turning bright orange, yellow and red.
They leap from the branches to let us know that winter is ahead.”
And with that thought,
He jumped up, with a crunch and a crinkle.

A series of hand crafted illustrations celebrating the Autumn season, woodland creatures and vibrant colours. Each illustration had a key theme and style that tied together through the main theme of Autumn.
1. Harvest - Inspired by the fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes of the harvest. I have created them around the body of a squirrel in a fun playful way.
2. Woodland Creatures - Animals of all shapes and sizes that inhabit the woodland areas of the world have been hand drawn using brush pens and ink. They have then be brought together in a woodland pattern design.
3. Dreams - A typographic design with the idea to visually represent 'Autumnal Dreams' showcasing the variety of leaves as they turn from green to reds, oranges, yellows and browns. Gold has been used to emphasis the golden appearance of Autumn.
4. River - A playful river design depicting some of the wildlife that live alongside side it. Original idea was to create this design to be a 3D paper cutout where depth could be added and characters could be moved around.
5. Moon - A lino print Owl design against a moonlit backdrop to celebrate the majesty of the moonlight.
6. Woodland Creatures Pt.II - In this collection a series of postage stamps have been designed showcasing a selection of animals in their habitat.
